16th Annual Toss Your Turkey 5K

Presented by Pottsgrove Athletics & Manatawny Athletic Club

Run, walk, toss a turkey, and get home in time for Thanksgiving dinner!

Date: Thanksgiving Day - Thursday, November 26, 2026
Time: Race Start: 8:30 AM, Check-In: 7:00–8:15 AM
Location: Montgomery County Community College

Turkey Toss: All 5K participants can toss a frozen turkey before the race.

Early Bird by November 16: $30.00
November 17–26: $35.00
Group Rate: $125 + $25 per additional runner

Race Shirts: Long-sleeve tech shirts guaranteed for registrations received by November 11. Available while supplies last after Nov. 11.

All Proceeds benefit local community organizations and Pottsgrove Athletics.

AM and PM Car Rider Procedures

New Procedures for AM and PM Car Riders Only

As we prepare for the start of the school year, we have been working closely with our local police department to review and improve our car rider (AM arrival and PM dismissal) procedures. These changes are for car riders only and are designed to enhance the safety, efficiency, and overall flow of traffic during these busy times, especially on Grosstown Rd.

Please see below and the attached map for our new procedures for AM and PM car riders only:

Car riders will enter the WPES campus using the Jay St. entrance. The regular Grosstown Rd entrance will not be accessible.
Please loop around the parking lot following the highlighted route and pick up your child by the cafeteria doors. WPES staff will be on site to assist you.
Once you have picked up your child, please exit the campus via Jay St. Please see the attached map which outlines the route in red.

Important Updates to the 2026-2027 School Calendar

The school calendars for the 2026-2027 school year were originally approved in the spring of 2025. The calendars were recently reviewed again during the Spring 2026 Curriculum, Instruction, and Technology Committee meeting to ensure all dates aligned appropriately for the upcoming school year. Following this review, adjustments were made regarding professional learning days for staff and the first day of school for students.

Important Updates:

The first student day will now be Thursday, August 27, 2026. Wednesday, August 26, 2026, was originally scheduled as the first student day.
Wednesday, March 24, 2027, was originally scheduled as a professional learning day for staff. The professional learning day has been moved to Wednesday, August 26, 2026. Wednesday, March 24, 2027, will now be a student day.
Thursday, March 25, 2027, is a holiday; however, will be used as a snow make up day #1, if necessary.
Monday, March 29, 2027, is a holiday; however, will be used as a snow make up day #2, if necessary.

Pottsgrove school district kindergarten registration opens March 2, 2026

Kindergarten Registration is Now Open!

Pottsgrove School District is pleased to announce Kindergarten Registration for the 2026-2027 school year is now open!

All children residing in the school district who will be age five before Spetember 1, 2026, are eligible to register through our Online Registration Portal which opens March 2, 2026.

Pottsgrove School District has once again been recognized by the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) as one of the Best Communities for Music Education in the nation! This is Pottsgrove's 6th year receiving the award and we were one of 700 districts across the country to receive it.
