West Pottsgrove Elementary School PBIS Handbook

West Pottsgrove Mission Statement
The mission of the West Pottsgrove Elementary School PBIS team is to create and maintain an effective learning environment that enhances student learning through teaching and recognizing positive behaviors.
West Pottsgrove Elementary seeks to improve school climate, reduce discipline issues and support academic achievement for all students. A school-wide positive behavior support system (PBIS) is in place to support intra-personal growth and academic success. Staff help students learn what the expectations “look” and “sound” like in all settings (hallway, bathroom, cafeteria, playground, classroom, bus) during the school day. These lessons are re-taught and reinforced throughout the school year, and become a regular part of our instructional program. School staff recognize and praise students for exhibiting positive behavior by following the Falcon Four: Be Safe, Be Positive, Be Respectful, Be Responsible.
